The “Forgotten residents of Beskids in light of their life’s stories”
Duration: 15 February till 17 November 2012 – excactely so long the evi
ction compaing of Beskyds residents in1951 took.
„On February 15, 1951 the governments of People’s Republic of Poland and Soviet Union signed a Treaty concerning sectors of their states territry. The Soviet Union ceded part of ukrainian territory to Poland. The population of it (Beskyds mountains) violently tranfered to south of the Ukraine. 17 November 1951 the last bill was signed in Lviv (Ukrainian Soviet Republic). More than 30 000 beskidians lost their homeland“
